ExitCare, LLC announced a partnership with Zolstice, LLC to develop a line of Smartphone Apps to make ExitCare’s patient education content available to both the healthcare and consumer markets.

The smartphone apps will be another way to assist providers and hospitals to improve patient compliance by facilitating workflow.

Their expertise with smartphones has helped ExitCare develop an intuitive medical information solution for the layperson,” stated Richard Thompson, EVP of ExitCare. “One of ExitCare’s goals is to provide the healthcare industry with innovative solutions to meet a growing demand to educate and empower patients in order to improve outcomes while improving provider workflow.”

“Medical information is available to consumers over the Internet but is often of questionable reliability,” says Zolstice President Peter Lazar. “The new applications will allow patients to have accurate, clear medical information available with a few touches on their smartphones.”

ExitCare has released ChildHealth and Women’sHealth, the first of a series of ExitCare smartphone apps that utilize ExitCare content. The products will be sold to two markets: first the consumer market by Zolstice, an ExitCare Partner, and second, the healthcare market through existing ExitCare Partners (VARs).
