Fonar sells two Upright Multi-Position MRI scanners to Doshi Diagnostic
| Company News - FONAR Corporation |
Fonar has sold two Upright Multi-Position MRI scanners to Doshi Diagnostic Imaging Services, a radiology group in New York which operates approximately 40 centers in Florida, New Jersey, Long Island and New York City.
Leena Doshi, president of Doshi Diagnostic, said: "The Fonar Upright Multi-Position MRI is a perfect complement to existing closed high field and open low field magnets already in our system. Aside from it being a general all-purpose MRI producing high-quality images, the Upright MRI will be useful in any condition where the weight-bearing image is relevant, such as spine, ankle, knee and hip.
"The Upright MRI will also be invaluable in helping the diagnosis of women with pelvic floor dysfunction, the common symptom complex in women responsible for urinary incontinence, chronic cystitis, uterine and rectal prolapse. The Upright Multi-Position MRI will allow us to perform a thorough evaluation of patients experiencing such problems."
