FUJIFILM Medical Systems announces the purchase and installation of five FCR
FUJIFILM Medical Systems, USA is pleased to announce that Halifax Medical Center of Daytona Beach, Florida has purchased and installed five FCR Go digital portable x-ray systems. The innovative FCR Go is now fulfilling all portable x-ray needs throughout the state-of-the-art hospital including the brand new France Tower which was just opened this month. The FCR Go’s consistent, high quality images and versatility of its cassettes were distinct differentiators that lead to the facility’s purchasing decision.
“The system’s speed, wireless image transmission and paperless workflow, combined with Fujifilm’s reputation for imaging excellence, made it easy to select the FCR Go as Florida’s first ever wireless portable FCR digital x-ray system.” says William Kazee, System Engineer & PACS Administrator, at Halifax. Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach is a modern, efficient, 764-bed hospital providing all major medical and surgical services including cutting-edge procedures, equipment and technologies. The facility recently celebrated a major open house presenting the new North tower and several of the facilities state-of-the- art imaging technologies including the FCR Go. Halifax provides 24-hour emergency department (ED), the largest in the state of Florida, and is the area's only Level II Trauma Center. Further, Halifax, maintains East Central Florida’s first and only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, where the Go’s are exclusively used.
The FCR Go incorporates Fujifilm’s standard durable, lightweight cassettes in multiple sizes, allowing for flexibility to perform any imaging exam. The design simplifies use for neonatal applications and ORs, as well with general portables at the bedside; it enables quicker image interpretation for radiologists. Smart operation at the full-featured workstation and unique convenience features like “inching” and dual collimator controls aid efficiencies. And the FCR Go interfaces seamlessly with Fujifilm’s Synapse PACS which features exam specific presets for dynamic image optimization that can aid radiologists during the diagnostic process.
