Hiroaki Tada joins FUJIFILM Medical Systems as President and CEO

FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, Inc. announced that Hiroaki Tada has been appointed the company's new President and CEO. Mr.Tada assumes responsibility for all US sales and service for Fujifilm's Medical Imaging, Science Systems and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) divisions, including global marketing and R&D for Fujifilm's Synapse® picture archiving and communications system (PACS), as well as for the company's growing women's healthcare area.
Mr. Tada has been with the FUJIFILM Corporation for more than 35 years, and his dedication and experience with a number of the company's business segments are rivaled by few. His career began with Fujifilm's Photographic Products and Graphic Systems Departments, and has since included diverse roles of increasing responsibility for various Fujifilm subsidiaries throughout Japan, Europe and North America.
Prior to joining FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, Mr. Tada was President and CEO of FUJIFILM Graphic Systems USA, Inc., a position he held since October 2003. FUJIFILM Graphic Systems was established through the acquisition of ten major Fujifilm dealers and during his term as President and CEO, Mr. Tada was responsible for building a profitable business. Under his leadership the processes of the different corporate structures were successfully streamlined into one unified and solid company.
Mr. Tada received his bachelor's degree from the department of law at Keio University in Japan. He also studied at the Institute of International Study and Training (IIST) in Japan, as well as at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
Mr. Tada succeeds Mr. Makoto Kawaguchi who was promoted to General Manager Procurement Division with Fujifilm Corporation in Tokyo.
