FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA announced that Clarian Health has selected Synapse PACS
FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, a leader in healthcare informatics solutions, announced that Clarian Health, Indianapolis, IN, – one of the largest health systems in the Midwest – has selected Synapse PACS to replace the health system’s legacy PACS. The system will be installed in Clarian’s academic hospitals and health centers throughout Indiana. An academic medical center, Clarian Health has the second largest radiology residency program in the United States and hosts more than 100 health education, wellness and service programs. Clarian Health is also affiliated with the Indiana University School of Medicine, the nation’s second largest medical school and a national leader in medical education and research.
“It was important for us to find a strategic partner that would customize its product offering to meet the unique demands and varying needs of our facilities as we continue to expand our enterprise,” says Dr. Jonas Rydberg, M.D., Professor of Clinical Radiology, Indiana University and Medical Director, Department of Radiology at Clarian Health’s Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
"Clarian Health is careful to seek partnerships with those organizations who have a propensity for forward thinking, strong core expertise and a willingness to collaborate with us to enhance patient care—improving both safety and quality for patients and their referring clinicians. The FUJIFILM Medical Systems organization ideally fits this bill,” says Richard Helsper, Vice President of Operations for Clarian Health. “We are excited and look forward to working with Fujifilm and using their Synapse PACS product throughout our radiology departments at Clarian.”
Synapse PACS provides a fully integrated, Web-based solution to enhance communication and optimize productivity for radiologists in any imaging environment. The solution’s flexibility and scalability contributed to the health system’s decision to select Fujifilm.
“It was essential for Fujifilm to accommodate the needs of the significant radiology staff at Clarian Health Partners; a staff that is responsible for interpreting a million plus exams each year,” says Jim Morgan, Fujifilm’s Executive Director of Marketing, Network Systems. “Fujifilm’s Synapse PACS proved to have the flexibility to adapt to their needs, rather than having them change to meet the workflow of the product.”
