GE Healthcare 's Voluson E8, Voluson i and ViewPoint highlight company focus on women’s healthcare

GE Healthcare , a division of General Electric Company, is committed to providing solutions for women’s healthcare providers. Its lineup of products being showcased at the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) 30th Annual Meeting in Chicago (February 4-5) highlights that commitment through advanced image quality to aid in advanced diagnostics, and automation tools to help shorten exam times and improve overall workflow.

These attributes align with GE Healthcare ’s new healthymagination strategy to bring better health to more people by reducing costs, increasing access and improving quality. Many of the products on display are healthymagination validated by Oxford Analytica, an independent research company.

One of the products on exhibit at GE Healthcare’s booth (#800) is the premium Voluson E8 ultrasound, which was healthymagination validated because its automated technologies are designed to help clinicians reduce manual tasks during ultrasound examinations, which can help significantly reduce exam time, bring down costs and improve patient care. Its new dynamic rendering engine provides innovative, next-generation 3D images, and when coupled with the RM6C matrix convex transducer, provides high-resolution volume imaging for detailed and advanced views of anatomies. The harmonization between the Voluson platform, dynamic rendering engine and enhanced transducers results in advanced image quality and seamless operation.

Voluson i -  a premium compact system, which provides console-quality performance in a portable package. The Voluson Station features an advanced design giving clinicians the ability to transform the Voluson i compact into a cart-based system.

ViewPoint – an ultrasound reporting and image management software solution which helps streamline workflow and improve service quality for practices of all sizes. A key new feature in this release is cluster server support giving users the ability to run two separate servers simultaneously, increasing availability and decreasing downtime. Users also will appreciate the new fetal echocardiography measurement transfer from the Voluson E-Series systems, and ViewPoint’s updated 4D view application with its new and improved post processing features.
