Centricity EMR Chosen to Support Enterprise-wide Needs of Community Health Providers
GE Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare information technology, announced that St. Joseph Hospital (SJH) has expanded its relationship with GE Healthcare through the selection of Centricity Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
St. Joseph is a community hospital located in Nashua, NH with 70 employed physicians across 19 locations practicing family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, pulmonary medicine and oncology. The hospital is part of St. Joseph Healthcare, a regional, full-service healthcare system serving the Greater Nashua area, western New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.
Centricity EMR version 9.0 will be rolled out across the organization, replacing several other EMR systems. SJH expects to accelerate the clinical and financial benefits of full EMR adoption through this integrated, single vendor approach, implementing enterprise-wide ePrescribing and taking advantage of the powerful clinical content available through the broad network of Centricity customers.

In addition, the hospital uses many GE Healthcare devices including X-ray, CT and MRI systems, and software solutions including Centricity Perinatal for the OB/GYN setting and Centricity DMS to automate their cardiology workflow. The connectivity between these devices and systems and Centricity EMR will allow the EMR to become a more comprehensive, central reference point for patient information, enhancing the provider experience and allowing SJH to improve patient care.
