Carrano to lead key relationships with healthcare organizations
GE Healthcare (NYSE: GE) proudly announced that William Carrano, a leading ultrasound industry veteran, has joined the GE Healthcare General Imaging Ultrasound business team
In his new role of Vice President, Strategic Business Management, Ultrasound, Carrano will lead and manage long-term relationships with key customers at leading U.S. healthcare facilities and be a key contributor to GE’s long term ultrasound strategy and vision. “I’m extraordinarily excited to be joining GE, “said Carrano.” When I made this change, I was looking for a company that was cutting edge in both their product technology and their commitment to ensure their key leadership. GE’s filled that role. I also was tremendously impressed with the people comprising the GE ultrasound team and their dedication to ultrasound technology.”

Carrano started his career almost 30 years ago in ultrasound engineering. Most recently, he was the Divisional Vice President for the Siemens USA medical ultrasound organization, including the marketing organization, sales distribution channels, strategic & tactical marketing and national account development. In addition to several other leadership roles at Siemens, Bill served in key management roles at Acuson, Toshiba America Medical Systems, and has had vast experience in imaging new product development and marketing, as well as experience in U.S. and international new market development, sales and distribution.
