HIMSS 2009 - April 4-8, Chicago, IL

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is a membership organization focused on providing global leadership for the optimal use of healthcare information technology (IT) and management systems for the betterment of healthcare. Founded in 1961, there are currently more than 350 corporate representatives and 20,000 individual members across the globe. The advocacy, educational and professional development initiatives HIMSS has designed and promoted makes the organization a respected leader in healthcare public policy and industry practices.

HIMSS 2009 will take place from April 4-8, at the McCormick Place Convention Complex in Chicago, IL. The conference allows physicians, policy makers, healthcare IT professionals, vendors, and peers to come together with the goal of creating a better future for global healthcare. It is a forum to both establish new business relationships and speak with medical imaging professionals facing the same healthcare issues in the ever-changing healthcare industry. Aside from the expansive exhibition halls, HIMSS will also offer education sessions, workshops, product presentations, and will feature many keynote speakers including actor Dennis Quaid and former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Alan Greenspan.
