Discussion:
- For the first time since their partnership was announced last year, LiveData and KARL STORZ Endoscopy America will be demonstrating their combined solution, the Patient-Aware OR, at the LiveData exhibit pavilion (Booth 538). Combining KARL STORZ OR1® and LiveData OR-Dashboard, the Patient-Aware OR delivers critical case information to the OR team precisely and automatically -- when it is needed before, during, and after the surgical procedure.
- LiveData will again be featured in HIMSS’ highly respected IHE Interoperability Showcase, using LiveData OR-Dashboard to demonstrate how standards-based interoperability can improve acute care. The demonstration will include recent developments in managing alerts.
- On April 7, a HIMSS education session called “Wired! The Fully Integrated OR Suite” will include a demonstration of a Web-based, clinician-centric Operating Room information system. To be presented by Warren Sandberg, MD, PhD, and Stephen Spring of Massachusetts General Hospital and based on experience with LiveData OR-Dashboard, the session explains how and why immediate feedback of both clinical and administrative data improves patient care.
- Stop by the LiveData booth to talk to LiveData’s CEO/CTO, Jeff Robbins, and learn about our Microsoft Silverlight implementation of OR-Dashboard. Microsoft Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device plug-in for delivering the next generation of .NET based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. LiveData OR-Dashboard delivered on Silverlight gives hospital IT professionals the ability to easily customize and extend OR-Dashboard.
- LiveData will also be featured in the Global Care Quest booth (4663). KARL STORZ’ recent acquisition of GCQ, a hospital-wide and handheld medical information provider, expands their range of innovative solutions for the OR.
