PHT to Demo Medical Payment Solution at HIMSS 2009

Preferred Health Technology Inc. will demonstrate its A-Claim medical payment solution during the 2009 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition in Chicago on April 4-8
Preferred Health Technology Inc. (PHT), a provider of electronic payment and transaction-processing services for the health care industry, will demonstrate its A-Claim medical payment solution for physicians, hospitals and other health care providers during the 2009 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition in Chicago.
PHT will demonstrate A-Claim from its booth on the exhibit floor of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference, which runs April 4-8 at Chicago's McCormick Place.
PHT said that its proprietary A-Claim technology system enables health care providers to simply and securely verify insurance eligibility, adjudicate claims, and accept credit, debit or prepaid cards and checks for payment at the time of service, before a patient leaves the hospital or office.
By making a payment arrangement before the patient leaves the hospital or doctor's office, the company said that providers can increase the efficiency of their billing process and improve overall collections and cash flow. The system offers patients payment choices and allows them to authorize future payment of outstanding bills, reduces the need to write and mail checks and helping them better manage medical expenses.
A-Claim works with all major insurance plans, and real-time claims adjudication is available with many plans.
"With the shift from managed care programs to consumer-directed health care and high-deductible health plans, it is more important than ever for physicians to secure payment for the patient's share of the bill while the patient is still in the office," said Mary Dees Griffith, PHT's president and COO. "A-Claim is helping physicians streamline billing procedures, lower collection costs, and improve cash flow.
