Aneesh Chopra in HIMSS 2010 Speaker Line-Up

Aneesh Chopra has been added to the HIMSS 2010 (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) speaker line-up to be held on March 1 - 4, 2010 at Atlanta.
Aneesh Chopra, assistant to the president, chief technology officer and associate director for technology in the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy, has been added to the HIMSS 2010 speaker line-up. On Wednesday, March 3, Mr. Chopra will discuss the role of health IT in building a 21st century technology ecosystem.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Chopra served as secretary of technology for the Commonwealth of Virginia from January 2006 to April 2009. He previously served as managing director with the Advisory Board Company, a publicly-traded healthcare think tank. Mr. Chopra was named to Government Technology magazine's Top 25 in their Doers, Dreamers and Drivers issue in 2008. He earned his bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University and his master's degree in public policy from Harvard's Kennedy School.
