The Annual HIMSS 2010 (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) Conference & Exhibition will be held on March 1 - 4, 2010, at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society ( HIMSS 2010 ) Conference & Exhibition, Mar. 1-4, 2010, at the Georgia World Congress Center. Some 29,000 healthcare industry professionals and 900 exhibitors are expected to attend and discuss cutting-edge technology and innovative healthcare solutions designed to improve patient care.

The annual HIMSS 2010 conference in the U.S. ranks as one of the largest healthcare IT and management systems gatherings in the world. • An interview with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN senior medical correspondent, and fraud investigator Harry Markopolos
• Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger, US Airways pilot and founder and CEO of Safety Reliability Methods

The conference education sessions include pre-conference symposia on topics, such as clinical engineering, financial systems, health information exchanges ( HIE s), nursing informatics, payers, pharmacy IT, physicians’ IT, and supply chain management.

Once again, the Interoperability Showcase will be a highlight of the 2010 conference with groundbreaking demonstrations that utilize cutting-edge technology and standards to demonstrate interoperability in an interactive environment. With the electronic health record a reality on the exhibit floor, attendees will be able to create, track and manage virtual electronic health records and personal health records as they experience interoperability advances across both acute and outpatient care environments.
