PatientKeeper, Inc., the leading provider of Physician Information Technology, announced that Chief Executive Officer Paul Brient and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Donald Burt will co-host a Webinar sponsored by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society ( HIMSS ) titled “Meaningful Use Requires Meaningful Adoption: Reporting From the Trenches” on February 2, 2010. The Webinar will focus on Meaningful Use criteria and how both physicians and hospitals can benefit from increased adoption of healthcare technology solutions.
With the signing of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 and the HITECH Act, more and more hospitals are looking to take advantage of healthcare technology to secure stimulus funds. In order to meet the meaningful use criteria set forth in the HITECH Act, hospitals will need to invest and implement systems that meet the requirements defined by meaningful use. Hospitals will also need to make sure that their investments are adopted and used by their affiliated and employed physicians. During this Webinar, attendees will learn about:
- An alternative approach to meeting the Meaningful Use criteria being defined in the HITECH Act
- How to achieve high levels of physician adoption that will satisfy Meaningful Use
- How to overcome integration challenges to ensure a comprehensive view of all relevant patient data
- How to reach physician adoption goals in a manner consistent with overall corporate IT and affiliated physician goals
