VisionShare Gets EHNAC Crystal Recognition Award: HIMSS10
| Medical Conferences News - HIMSS 2010 |
VisionShare will be presenting four unique compliance demonstrations relevant to the new federal Meaningful Use requirements at the HIMSS 2010 conference in Atlanta, GA.
VisionShare, one of the nation’s largest and most secure health information exchanges for administrative and clinical transactions was recognized today with the EHNAC Crystal Recognition Award for achieving EHNAC accreditation.
The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC) recognizes organizations for excellence in healthcare and compliance with industry-established standards and HIPAA regulations. In September 2009, VisionShare achieved full accreditation with EHNAC’s Healthcare Network Accreditation Program (HNAP) – Electronic Health Network (EHN), which recognizes excellence in health data processing and transactions.
EHNAC evaluated VisionShare in the areas of privacy, security and confidentiality measures, technical performance, business practices and security resources. Through a thorough consultative review, EHNAC reviewed the company’s processes of managing and transferring protected health information and determined that VisionShare met or exceeded all EHNAC criteria and industry standards. Upon completion of this rigorous accreditation process, EHNAC found that VisionShare demonstrates adherence to a higher standard of quality, privacy and data management.
Since its inception, VisionShare has been recognized as a leader in secure, high-speed Internet-based information exchange within the healthcare industry. VisionShare Secure Exchange Platform has been setting the bar for secure healthcare information exchange, using military-grade encryption that is also CMS-approved, HIPAA -compliant, and CAQH CORE certified. Utilizing a security model currently being recommended as a standard for national reform, the VisionShare secure network already connects thousands of healthcare facilities across the nation.
At the HIMSS 10 conference, VisionShare will be presenting four unique compliance demonstrations relevant to the new federal Meaningful Use requirements. Attendees will see how the company’s Secure Exchange Platform can be immediately implemented for cross-enterprise health information exchange to include insurance eligibility checking, insurance claims submission, and for exchanging clinical information including diagnostic results and public health reports.
