Health Robotics signed five exclusive distribution agreements for its CytoCare , i.v.STATION , and i.v.SOFT world-leading technologies in four Eastern European countries

Health Robotics announced that it recently signed five exclusive distribution agreements for its CytoCare, i.v.STATION, and i.v.SOFT world-leading technologies in four Eastern European countries, rapidly continuing on its worldwide quest to pervasively provide safe and cost-effective Intravenous (IV) Admixture Compounding Automation.

"As previously announced last year, Health Robotics will continue to aggressively optimize its worldwide distribution channel strategies by rewarding high-performance distributors while making changes where appropriate if prior marketing channel strategies do not yield the success that we rightly expect from our unique products. Braun Medical s.r.o [Czech Republic] with a contract for CytoCare 's exclusive rights as a direct result of its 3 "live" installations in 2009-10 (General University Hospital of Prague, Ceske Budejovice Hospital, and Zlin Regional Hospital), which is a great accomplishment in such a short period of time, considering the size of Czech Republic's healthcare industry and the budget crisis during the last two years", stated Gaspar DeViedma, Health Robotics' Executive Vice President.

CytoCare is the first and only robotic system proven to work anywhere in the world for the safe and sterile preparation of Hazardous Intravenous Admixtures, including Chemotherapy, Monoclonal Antibody Therapy, and Gene Therapy. With 56 installations currently under contract in 17 countries, CytoCare has long proven its unmatched flexibility to adapt to diverse pharmacy workflows and proprietary IV consumables in 4 continents. While several companies attempted the development of Chemotherapy Robotics as far back as 22 years ago, Cytocare is still the only IV Robot to-date that has been able to break the entry barrier into the Chemotherapy Automation Sector. Health Robotics' new CytoCare distribution and service channels include S&T Bulgaria, B.Braun Medical for both Czech Republic and Slovakia, and S&T Romania.

i.v.STATION represents a revolutionary approach in the quest for safe, accurate, efficient, cost effective, and ready-to-administer intravenous patient doses. i.v.STATION offers unprecedented reduction of IV medication errors, USP 797 and GMP compliance, compatibility with 75+ different syringe and IV Bags brands/sizes, reduction of IV waste, and significant labor savings: all within a scalable, cost-effective, distributed, and fail-safe architecture. i.v.SOFT constitutes an ideal complement to CytoCare and i.v.STATION both as a means to back-up robotic devices and to direct excess IV Admixture production demand and non-standard IV consumables (i.e. cassette pumps, ampoules, glass bottles, IV doses requiring the use of CSTDs, etc.) towards Laminar Airflow Hoods equipped with Health Robotics' life-critical i.v.SOFT software . Additionally, i.v.SOFT provides the means to ensure that all IVs [not just those IVs produced by CytoCare and i.v.STATION ] are: i) free of life-threatening drug-exchange errors; ii) supported by tele-pharmacy functionality for pharmacist's secure review and approval; iii) compounded by pharmacy technicians with high precision; and iv) manufactured with no or minimal waste through its unique proactive alerts to technicians during the Admixture preparation (as opposed to competitors' products reliance on retrospective review which triggers costly "re-makes").
