HIMSS Honors Award Recipients for HIT Contributions

HIMSS announced the 2009 Award recipients, recognizing their contributions in adopting interoperable EHRs and healthcare IT, and decided to provide more than $60,000 in scholarship monies to six deserving students.

“Each year, we see significant and innovative efforts to improve the delivery of healthcare with information technology from our HIMSS award recipients, who are nominated in the four award categories of industry service, HIMSS service, publications and chapters,” said Erica Pantuso, CAE, HIMSS Vice President, Member Services. “All of us at HIMSS congratulate these individuals for sharing their valuable expertise and example with the Society and the entire industry.” 

All award and scholarship honorees will be recognized at the HIMSS Awards Banquet on March 2, at the Omni Hotel at the CNN Center during the 2010 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition.
