InfoLogix Included as Sample Vendor on Healthcare Applications and Systems

Healthcare IT News - Healthcare Informatics

InfoLogix, Inc. noted it is included as a sample vendor in two different categories in Gartner's newly-released 2010 Hype Cycle for Healthcare Provider Systems and Applications.

InfoLogix, Inc., a leading technology provider of enterprise mobility solutions for the healthcare and commercial industries, noted it is included as a sample vendor in two different categories in Gartner's newly-released 2010 Hype Cycle for Healthcare Provider Systems and Applications. Gartner's Hype Cycle model helps organizations understand the maturity of technologies and applications between initial commercialization and broad market acceptance.

InfoLogix is included in the Real-Time Temperature/Humidity Monitoring Analysis category, which leverages technologies such as active radio frequency identification ( RFID ) in combination with in-hospital Wi-Fi networks to monitor refrigerators holding temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, blood, bone and tissue samples. InfoLogix has been on the forefront of this growing market with multiple implementations of its HealthTrax Temperature Monitoring solution which helps hospitals increase regulatory compliance and patient safety while at the same time decreasing labor costs.

In addition, InfoLogix is included in the Wireless Healthcare Asset Management (WHAM) category, which involves the transmission, storage and analysis of geospatial location information sent in real-time from wireless locator devices attached to healthcare assets. With the growing national focus on automating and optimizing healthcare delivery, hospitals are increasingly adopting mobility technologies such as InfoLogix's HealthTrax Asset Tracking solution to help eliminate manual tracking processes, increase asset utilization, and allow caregivers to spend more quality time with patients.

"We are pleased that InfoLogix has been recognized by Gartner as a sample vendor in both of these market segments for healthcare systems and applications," said David Gulian, president and CEO of InfoLogix. "Over the past decade, we have helped 1,500 hospitals succeed with innovative mobility, wireless and EMR implementation solutions, and we believe our domain expertise is what sets InfoLogix apart. With a team of RNs, clinicians and mobility experts who understand workflow and process reengineering, we have the ability to take the data from these systems and applications, and help hospitals make it actionable in terms of improving patient safety and quality of care."
