As you sit on the Underground or Metro you feel sympathy for all those sneezing fellow commuters. Well, think again. New research suggests that many (or at least some) people sneeze when thinking about sex (sexual ideation). Some even sneeze when experiencing orgasm. So check whether those sneezers are actually suffering from a winter cold, daydreaming (ie thinking about sex) or reading a tabloid newspaper (and probably ogling a page three photo).

Of course for genuine sufferers of this condition, it is embarrassing and troubling. Sufficiently embarrassing that few report their condition to their doctors with the result that its possible prevalence is under-reported in literature.

The good news is that they may be sneezing, but you won't get a cold!
