Members of the Congressional Black Caucus say that the passage of the healthcare reform bill is important not only for minorities but also for all Americans.

Dr. Donna Christiansen, who represents the Virgin Islands, says the healthcare reform bill may not be perfect, it's all that will help many of the poor in urban areas and the underserved in rural America as well.

Representative Barbara Lee, who chair's the CBC says most of her members will vote for the reform bill and that in the end, Lee believes they will make history and pass healthcare reform. She admits that House leaders are still working to get the votes needed to pass the legislation.
