Australia's largest listed health information technology company, introduced LORENZO Health Studio, iSOFT’s next-generation healthcare information technology solution, in the United States
iSOFT unveiled its LORENZO Health Studio Partner Programmeat the HIMSS health IT conference held in Chicago this week as it taps growth opportunities in the U.S healthcare market. Selected healthcare providers now have an outstanding opportunity to participate in the new electronic healthcare marketplace created by U.S President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus package.

iSOFT has the potential to play a critical role in resolving the challenges that U.S healthcare providers face as they seek interoperable IT solutions to improve the quality of healthcare and reduce its cost among more than 300 million patients.

LORENZO Health Studio, a part of iSOFT’s next-generation LORENZO solution launched globally last year has the unique advantage of being able to integrate fully with existing IT systems, allowing healthcare providers to upgrade to electronic patient records without the burden of an expensive ‘rip and replace’ program. Based on a Service-Oriented Architecture, using proven international standards and open technologies, LORENZO Health Studio is the foundation of the LORENZO solution currently being deployed in the United Kingdom as the enterprise-wide solution supporting the world’s largest civilian IT project, the UK National Program for IT.

The LORENZO Health Studio Partnership Programme is open to healthcare providers worldwide, and represents iSOFT’s first entry into the U.S. The company operates in 37 countries across five continents as one of the world’s largest health IT providers.
