IMIX Americas signed a cooperation agreement with Arcoma to offer a comprehensive line of affordable, high-quality DR solutions.

IMIX Americas , Inc., a provider of high-value digital radiography (DR) products, announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Arcoma, a Swedish company specializing in high-end auto-positioning X-ray and radiology equipment. The agreement allows the companies to jointly offer a comprehensive line of affordable, high-quality DR solutions.

The cooperation agreement brings together two complementary companies. IMIX Americas, a unit of IMIX ADR, utilizes an industry-leading detector technology in a variety of innovative DR systems. Arcoma, a market leader in motorized movement and auto-positioning systems, offers a line of premium products, including stands, examination tables, and chest and skeletal units.

According to Sigrid Smitt-Jeppesen, president and chief executive officer of IMIX Americas, the agreement results in expanded product offerings to better meet customer needs, including a dual-detector room with IMIX’s new Slimline detector option, as well as a flex bucky option. The companies also will offer The Cube, a unique X-ray tube support, which allows customers to hang an overhead tube crane while minimizing construction work and costs.

Arcoma will begin sales of the full IMIX product line in the Western region of the United States immediately, and the two companies will work closely together to further develop the U.S. sales channels.

“Together IMIX Americas and Arcoma offer a comprehensive array of digital radiography solutions including dual-detector configurations, fully robotic DR systems, orthopedic units, top-quality stands and accessories,” Smitt-Jeppesen said. “Our cooperation agreement will provide enhanced value for customers in the digital radiography market and further our combined mission of providing DR products that deliver quality, affordability, reliability, and unmatched value.”

According to Per Hermansson, president and chief executive officer of Arcoma, North America, the cooperation agreement significantly strengthens the sales channels for IMIX in the Western region and provides the Arcoma sales force with a very competitive addition to Arcoma’s high-quality product line. “We are excited about the strength of the combined product portfolio,” Hermansson said. “This will increase the market presence of both companies in the U.S. market and allow us to bring a stronger offering to our customers.”
