| Company News - InSite One |
Wallingford, CT, January 6, 2010 - InSite One, Inc., the market leader in imaging data archiving and content management services, announces a series of corporate milestones, including over
41 million studies stored in its InDex Enterprise Archive, success in new healthcare market sectors and major new relationships with integrated delivery networks (IDNs). According to the longtime image archiving services leader, these recent achievements in today’s challenging economy, reflect the growing benefits of InSite One’s advanced, open technology and flexible pricing models.
In December, the InSite One centralized repository for medical imaging and related healthcare data reached over 41 million studies stored – equivalent to over 2.8 billion diagnostic images.
The InSite One application-neutral data repository holds images and related reports for all InDex service offerings, which range from on-and off-site primary archiving systems to advanced Web communications, data distribution and disaster recovery solutions.
“As we enter an era of significant emphasis on medical information sharing and more informed medical decision-making, the opportunities for InSite One’s growth have never been greater,” comments Jim Champagne, InSite One’s President and CEO. “With our standards-based data storage model offering anywhere, anytime access, our advanced application-neutral technology supporting a full range of medical data, and our cost-effective solutions keep pace with today’s evolving healthcare needs facilitating ‘meaningful use’. InSite One added nearly 1,400,000 new studies during the month of December alone—our largest monthly increase. On average, thirty new images are stored to our archive every second”, Mr. Champagne concluded.
During December, InSite One also began the security validation process for the Theatre Image Repository (TIR) project from the Department of Defense (DoD) Integrated Clinical Systems Program Management Office (ICSPMO), representing the company’s entrance into the government sector. With Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation process certification, InSite One is positioned to participate in future DoD health facilities projects. Under the current agreement, the company will provide centralized, long-term storage for medical images from soldiers in combat zones worldwide, enabling care givers, whether located onsite or in US VA hospitals, to access a soldier’s comprehensive imaging history.
Additionally, InSite One signed an agreement for enterprise-wide medical imaging data storage with MedStar Health, a nine facility hospital system in Maryland and Washington, DC. The archiving solution will streamline information access by integrating imaging information across multiple locations into a single standards-based, application-neutral archive.
In December InSite One entered into a cross-licensing relationship with MEDecision, a leading provider of collaborative health care management solutions to health care payers for their iHistory technology. MEDecision will offer InSite One’s patented InDex Enterprise Archiving services to healthcare providers and payers to support cross-enterprise information exchange.
