Intelerad Medical Systems workflow expertise takes integrated mammography to the next level

Intelerad Medical Systems , an industry-leading PACS solution vendor, introduces its IntelePACS Mammography Module, a fully integrated mammography viewer that optimizes productivity and eliminates the need for dedicated mammography workstations. Intelerad will showcase its Mammography Module for the first time at RSNA, November 29-December 4, 2009 ( RSNA 2009 )  in Chicago, Illinois. Intelerad will be in Booth #6251, Hall A.

Fully integrated with Intelerad Medical Systems IntelePACS solution, the Mammography Module allows radiologists to access the entire patient record, optimize productivity and collaboration, and support quality management practices. Compliant with IHE and the FDA, this viewer offers best-of-breed functionality and ease-of-use for the most demanding workloads. With the added cost savings of enterprise wide licenses, Intelerad’s Mammography Module delivers a truly unified multimodality reading environment.

User feedback from the Invision / Sally Jobe Breast Network was instrumental in the development of Intelerad’s Mammography Module. Chris McLaughlin, MD explains, “Intelerad took the time to incorporate our “wish list” and develop the tools and features that deliver key functionalities for mammography image viewing that allow a much more efficient system for digital mammography. With this we will be able to simplify our IT systems, decrease the number of systems the radiologist needs to learn and log on to, and simplify workflow, while at the same time increasing the information available to the radiologist at the time of interpretation, and simplify communication of findings with the technologists as well.”

The Mammography Module includes an array of essential viewing tools that meet the needs of radiologists who wish to read from a single, true multi-modality viewer. Viewing workflow is optimized with the individual radiologist’s preferred viewing sequences. 

To enhance screening efficiency, user’s can customize their viewing protocols, selecting their preferred sequence of the different views. Mouse clicks are minimized, allowing radiologists to step through sequences to rapidly detect pathology at the touch of a
button. The Intelerad Mammography Module also integrates with a variety of CAD systems.
