Intelerad Signs Agreement With Mid-Atlantic Group Network Of Shared Services

Company News - Intelerad Medical Systems

IntelePACS to be offered to thousands of MAGNET member hospitals and clinics

Intelerad Medical Systems , an industry-leading PACS solution vendor, has signed a three year agreement with Mid-Atlantic Group Network of Shared Services (MAGNET), allowing Intelerad to offer its products to MAGNET’s national healthcare provider network.

MAGNET is one of the oldest, largest, and most experienced shared service organizations in the United States - representing a membership of over 1,000 hospitals and 5,000 clinics and physician practices. MAGNET members will benefit from Intelerad's PACS solutions and flexible financing as well as its top rated customer service. Intelerad maintains clients' satisfaction by ensuring its customers' success in delivering the highest levels of patient care.

Derwood B. Dunbar, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of MAGNET said, "We chose Intelerad due to our shared focus of improving patient care through superior service. While pricing is important, MAGNET insists that high quality and service are the first requirement of every health care provider. Our partnership approach to business brings suppliers and providers together in the true spirit of cooperation and removes tangible costs from the health care delivery system."

To meet the needs of the individual health care provider, MAGNET has a "User-Driven" philosophy, where it consults healthcare providers on their needs, and focuses on quality of services, to improve patient outcomes.

Changes in health care payment methodologies and an environment more focused on cooperation than competition, have changed the face of purchasing, making total cost an increasingly important part of the acquisition process.

About MAGNET — Founded during the 1979 Middle Atlantic Health Congress, Mid-Atlantic Group Network of Shared Services (MAGNET) was created to develop contracts on behalf of its members in the niche market of capital equipment. Today, MAGNET serves approximately 11,000 providers, including hospitals, alternate care facilities, and physician practices and clinics with a contract portfolio that includes equipment, services, commodities and the newly emerging area of niche/boutique (innovative and cost-reducing) products.
