Intelerad Medical Systems announces that SIRA will be leveraging InteleOne to improve patient care across their community.
Intelerad Medical Systems, a recognized leader in medical imaging PACS and workflow solutions, announced that Southern Indiana Radiological Associates Inc. ( SIRA ) will be leveraging InteleOne to improve patient care across their community. InteleOne will empower radiologists to collaborate across remote facilities by providing secure instant access to images, priors, and reports. InteleOne’s open-standard architecture will also benefit the community’s physicians by granting them access to their patients’ results from wherever they are.
SIRA employs 15 radiologists, offering reading and reporting services to physician practices and community hospitals. The SIRA Imaging Center also offers multi-modality services that include Breast Imaging, general radiology , CT , Ultrasound , Nuclear Medicine , and MRI . Radiologists will benefit from InteleOne’s enterprise-wide modules such as Image Fusion.
“We are very excited to utilize InteleOne to expand our potential in securely sharing, archiving, and distributing medical images and information,” said Dr. Mark Bisesi, President of SIRA. “We look forward to offering InteleOne’s leading-edge capabilities to our community, going beyond the boundaries of traditional healthcare systems with modern, fast, and reliable medical imaging solutions.”
Another advantage is the Intelerad® PACS neutral archive, powered by a fault-tolerant storage grid architecture that will allow SIRA to provide secure archival hosting services for physician practices. InteleOne will also play a significant role in SIRA’s initiative to automatically deliver reports into the Regional Health Information Organization’s ( RHIO ) Electronic Medical Record ( EMR ).
“ SIRA now has the ability to unify image viewing and reporting workflows and get the patient’s imaging history from diverse facilities into one universal worklist,” said Chris Henri, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Intelerad. “InteleOne delivers the high-performance infrastructure necessary to increase productivity, encourage growth, and improve the quality of care. We are pleased to embark on this joint-venture with SIRA , confident that the results will be beneficial to everyone.”
