Lexi-Comp ON-HAND delivers full complement of software for the Palm Pre and Pixi

Lexi-Comp , Inc., a provider of drug and clinical information, and drug data solutions for healthcare professionals, has expanded its smartphone offering to now include Palm Pre and Pixi devices. This new release makes Lexi-Comp ON-HAND the most comprehensive medical software available for Palm webOS and expands Lexi-Comp's handheld solution, which already includes compatibility with Palm OS and Pocket PC devices, iPod touch, and other smartphones including iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, and Windows Mobile devices. With the launch of Palm's webOS 1.4, Lexi-Comp 's initially released Lexi-Drugs + Interact package for the Pre is now expanded to include most of Lexi-Comp's databases and packages available for mobile devices. In addition to industry-leading drug information and comprehensive interaction analysis tools, users can access resources specific to pediatrics and geriatrics, oncology, infectious diseases, and toxicology, as well as lab and diagnostic procedure information, drug allergies, and pharmacogenomics. Users can create and store personalized user notes within each monograph, diagnose conditions and disorders, and find fully referenced treatment options in seconds.

With Lexi-Comp ON-HAND, clinicians can link to FDA warnings, PubMed, and additional resources directly from their mobile devices. Dental professionals can utilize this technology to access the same photo-rich resources presented in Lexi-Comp's highly regarded dental print manuals. Additional licensed resources, including Harrison's Practice, The 5-Minute Clinical Consultant, and Stedman's Medical Dictionary for the Health Professions and Nursing, are also available.
