Intronix Introduces Documentation Software for EMG-Drug Injections: MEDICA 2010

Medical Conferences News - MEDICA 2010

Intronix Technologies Corporation will unveil Myoguide DOC, their new tablet friendly injection documentation software package, at MEDICA 2010 , November 17-20, in Dsseldorf, Germany.

This release complements the launch of the Myoguide needle EMG (electromyography)-guided injection handheld unit, at last years MEDICA . Myoguide DOC is a muscle injection documentation software package designed to document patient encounters related to injection of pain management and neuromodulator drugs.

While designed to be part of the Myoguide system, it is not device specific, so it can be used with, or without, any injection guidance system.

Our aim is to vastly improve injection documentation and to allow clinicians to both document accurately, and track treatment efficacy explains Dr. Evan Friedman, Intronix President and founder of the 26-year-old company.

Comprehensive documentation, including documentation of injection points, over 3D digital anatomical site graphics is built in. This will allow the clinician to document the injection point location, and drug details, within the medical record. Report generation and creation of a medical record are integral parts of this SQL based system.

Standard pain and spasticity indices, such as the McGill pain index, and TWH Spasticity index, are included. Quantitative results can be graphed over a number of patient encounters. Myoguide DOC is also useful for anyone currently injecting anything into muscle who wishes to have better documentation.

The unsurpassed performance of Myoguide needle EMG guided injection device, paired up with Myoguide DOC, strengthen the value of the Myoguide system. In short, The Myoguide System helps make treatment more beneficial.
