MEDecision and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma to Join Forces for Case Study Presentation at Healthcare IT Summit

Representatives from MEDecision , Inc., a leading provider of collaborative health care management solutions, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) will conduct a case study presentation at the upcoming Healthcare IT Summit in La Quinta, CA, detailing a joint patient-centered medical home project the two organizations are spearheading. MEDecision is a silver sponsor of the conference which takes place November 8–10, 2009 at the La Quinta Resort & Club.

Matt Adamson, vice president of the MEDecision Interoperability Competency Center, and Dr. Joseph Nicholson, chief medical officer at BCBSOK, will present “Using Technology to Facilitate the Medical Home” on Monday, November 9 at 3:00 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. PST. The sessions will analyze the constructs of the pilot program, its current and projected benefits and the obstacles it has overcome to this point. The presentation will particularly focus on the ways in which technology has impacted the project’s progress and how it will affect its future.
