MEDecision Honored in Separate National and Regional Programs

Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare program honors outstanding employers in the health care industry on a national scale. It is intended to help organizations improve brand awareness, enhance recruiting efforts and strengthen employee morale, among other things. The Best Places to Work in PA program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and the Central Penn Business Journal. It identifies, recognizes and honors the best places to be employed in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.

Modern Healthcare determined its Best Places to Work in Healthcare through a survey of employers detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics. Employees were asked a series of in-depth questions to help evaluate eight core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall satisfaction.

Winning organizations in the Best Places to Work in PA program were determined by a two-part employee evaluation process, the first of which assessed each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. The second consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and their respective final rankings.

Modern Healthcare will reveal the ranked order of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare in a special supplement it will publish on October 26. Recipients also will be honored at a banquet in Chicago the following day.

MEDecision will be recognized at the Best Places to Work in PA evening awards ceremony on December 1 at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center in Hershey, PA. Rankings will be revealed at the ceremony.
