Jupiter Medical Announces New MRI System

Radiology News

Jupiter Medical Center has incorporated one of the most advanced diagnostic tools available into its imaging program, the new Signa HDx 1.5T MRI system from GE Healthcare.

Jupiter Medical Center has incorporated one of the most advanced diagnostic tools available into its imaging program, the new Signa HDx 1.5T MRI system from GE Healthcare. The system delivers highly detailed images of the human body with increased speed, better resolution and unique applications, including dual breast scanning and non-contrast vascular imaging for patients with renal dysfunction. This results in shorter exams and greater comfort for patients, while providing higher diagnostic confidence for doctors, according to Dr. Robert L. Stickle, Board Certified diagnostic radiologist.

"Some patients can present special challenges when undergoing MRI testing," Dr. Stickle said. "Now, even those who are the most difficult to examine with conventional MRI approaches can be easily imaged and diagnosed."

One feature of the Signa HDx 1.5T MRI system is the dual breast scanning capability. "In the time it normally takes to image just one breast, we can image both breasts simultaneously," Dr. Stickle said.

"The addition of the Signa HDx 1.5T MRI system complements and extends the range of quality diagnostic services that Jupiter Medical Center offers. It provides us with vastly improved image quality and imaging speed, and enhances the overall diagnostic confidence we have in all of our studies," Dr. Stickle said.

Jupiter Medical Center provides a comprehensive array of the latest state-of-the-art technology for radiology and diagnostic imaging, and is accredited by the American College of Radiology in Ultrasound, MRI, Mammography and Breast Biopsies. In addition to the hospital's Imaging Services department, Jupiter Medical Center operates an Outpatient Imaging Center, located at 2055 Military Trail, Suite 101, which ranked in the top 10% nationally for patient satisfaction, as reported by PRC. The hospital's Women's Diagnostics center is a unique imaging center that focuses on women's healthcare.
