Mach 7 Technologies Contracted by Singapore General Hospital to Provide State-of-the-Art Patient Image Management Technology

Company News - Mach 7 Technologies

Mach 7 Technologies signed an agreement with SGH to install its flagship Keystone Suite

Mach 7 Technologies , a global provider of flexible, PACS-neutral healthcare image management solutions, has signed an agreement with the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) to install its flagship Keystone Suite, an Enterprise Image Management Platform, in the Hospital's Nuclear Medicine and PET Department.

Mach 7 Technologies' Keystone Suite is a powerful, state-of-the-art digital archive and image routing system that delivers PACS-neutral archiving, intelligent image movement and normalization, image enablement, and advanced control, monitoring and auditing.

Keystone Suite includes the Keystone Management Console, a DICOM workflow specialist's tool for managing image communication, transfer and storage across the enterprise. The product also includes Keystone Archive, a PACS-neutral archiving component, and Keystone Engine, which enables clinical images to be seamlessly transferred to and from any PACS solution, delivering the flexibility to address the complexity of disparate platforms.

The Keystone Suite solution will allow SGH's Nuclear Medicine and PET Department to define rules to improve image workflow and storage, as well as enhance image data sharing between technologists and physicians.

"We believe that we selected the best solution for the Department," said Dr Anthony Goh, Head of SGH's Nuclear Medicine and PET. "After evaluating several different solutions, only Mach 7 Technologies' Keystone Suite met all of the series-level routing and PACS-neutral archive requirements that we had. Based on our preliminary benchmarks, we expect Keystone Suite to improve NM technologist productivity significantly."

SGH Nuclear Medicine technologists will be able to automatically route study data at a series level to different specialist reading stations based on date/time and series-level DICOM attribute information. The Keystone Engine will modify DICOM attributes when DICOM conflicts occur between PACS, post-processing workstations and modalities. The solution will also provide for the sending of the raw data from the department's post-processing stations to Keystone Archive, as well as forwarding raw data back to the stations for reprocessing, if needed.

In the implementation of the new solution, Keystone Suite will be connected to all modalities in the Nuclear Medicine and PET Department, and Mach 7 Technologies will migrate the SGH Nuclear Medicine study data from the existing archive to Keystone Archive.

According to Ravi Krishnan, CTO at Mach 7 Technologies, the system addresses the Department's need for sophisticated solutions to solve their complex clinical image management issues. "Collaboration with the SGH's Nuclear Medicine and PET team was fantastic and resulted in a solution that will dramatically improve technological productivity and speed up the delivery of pertinent study/series information to the Nuclear Medicine Physician," Krishnan said.

"We are very excited to be working with a leading regional medical facility like the SGH. Working with this premier healthcare provider in Singapore demonstrates not only our expertise and the strength of our imaging technology solution, but also our global presence and reach," said Choon Teck, General Manager, SE Asia Sales & Service for Mach 7 Technologies.
