Q: What products, updates or innovations are you announcing or launching at RSNA?

A: We are highlighting two of our more successful products, Our Accusorb MRI RF Shielding material that makes ortho MR scanning a much simpler task for the technician. Basically if you wrap what you don't want to see, you don't see it. It also offers up to a 60 per cent reduction in the actual scanning time. This can mean depending on number of hours a scanner is run up to five additional scans per month.

We also are highlighting our Ferralert Ferromagnetic detection systems for threat detection in and around the scanner room. These type of systems were recommended by the ACR in the 'MRI Safe Practices' document this year and backed up by the FDA in July. We are introducing the IMROC dual channel fiber optic communications system for interventional OR. This system is completely fiber optic and allows up to five people plus the patient if required to communicate across the same system with no interference to the scanner or other equipment in the OR.

Q: What are the benefits of using your product?

A: All the these products represent significant advances in their prospective areas. Whether it be MRI image enhancement, safety of patients, personnel and the scanner itself, or communications in the interventional OR. All of these products add exceptional value to the product produced as a result of their use.

Q. What are you hoping to achieve from this year's RSNA?

A: This year as in every year our intention is to display to the MR modality our continued commitment to bringing unique products that offer value to the end product and solutions to everyday problems experienced by our customers. Our only business is products for the MRI. Our mission is to find and bring to market products our customers need to enhance their product.

Q: What key messages do you have for RSNA attendees?

A: We want our customers to think of Magmedix as the people to go to for answers to problems that seemingly have no answers.

Q. How do you see the year ahead in clinical and business terms?

A: With the advent of the DRA, we see our customer base shrinking due to consolidation. The DRA will drive the need to increase productivity while competition will drive the quality of the end product for our customers. Because of the image enhancing, and time saving capabilities of some of our products we see another banner year for our company. We feel that we are positioned to take advantage of both of these needs.

Over the years we have increased our product offering to more than 450 specific products for that modality. We sell our products around the world with fully 20 per centof our business located outside of the US. Our MRI product offering continues to be the most comprehensive and complete in the industry.
