McKesson awarded Disease Management accreditation and Health Call Center re-accreditation from URAC

McKesson has been awarded Disease Management accreditation and Health Call Center re-accreditation URAC from , a Washington, D.C.-based healthcare accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the healthcare industry.

URAC accreditation is important to our business and to our clients,” said Jim Hardy , senior vice president and general manager, McKesson Health Solutions. “URAC accreditation demonstrates the value McKesson places on member confidentiality, staff and clinical qualifications, and documentation of our services.”

McKesson ’s care management services help manage chronic illnesses through a whole person approach. These programs engage a care management team that includes doctors, registered nurses, social workers, pharmacists, health educators and other healthcare professionals to improve the health of high-cost, high-risk participants through patient-centric interventions that address barriers to care.

McKesson ’s call center operations have been accredited by URAC since 1997.
