Innovative technology used to gather physician feedback in evaluating bisphosphonate use.

Onmark , a leading national group purchasing organization ( GPO ) for community-based practices and a McKesson Specialty Care Solutions company, today announced it will present a clinical abstract based on a study featuring physician feedback on the evaluation of bisphosphonate use. Results from the study will be presented at the 46th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology ( ASCO ) at McCormick Place in Chicago from June 4-8, 2010.

In the study, McKesson Specialty Care Solutions investigated a quality initiative across its Onmark membership of community oncology practices nationwide which measures intravenous bisphosphonate compliance and provided clinical education using Web-based drug dispensing technology with interactive physician queries.
