Paragon(R) Hospital Information System Rated Best in KLAS(R) Community HIS Six Years in a Row

Fully integrated solution contends at No. 2 spot in overall software suite rankings

McKesson 's Paragon(R) hospital information system ( HIS ) has once again earned Best in KLAS(R) for Community HIS in the 2011 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report. This is the sixth consecutive year that the solution has earned this top distinction, giving it the most repeat Best in KLAS honors in its category. The report also rates Paragon No. 2 in overall software suite rankings, which includes only companies with a minimum of three separate products that meet minimum KLAS Konfidence level in three separate market segments. With its contemporary, Microsoft(R)-based platform, Paragon's HIS is uniquely designed to fully integrate patient data and revenue cycle information using a single system.
"We're not surprised that the Paragon HIS was honored with the Best in KLAS distinction again this year and is No. 2 overall," said Tim McCarty, CIO, OakBend Medical Center.
