What's new at the summit?
| Medicexchange News - Medicexchange News |
RBMA 2008 - The RBMA will be doing more than just going green at this years radiology summit in Las Vegas, Nevada. Longer exhibit hall hours, a treasure hunt and recorded sessions are just a few of the extra things to mention.
The RBMA 2008 Radiology Summit will be held May 4-7, 2008, at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As we mentioned in previous announcements, RBMA has reduced the number of environmentally destructive elements by reducing the amount of paper distributed, replacing plastic bottles with glassware, and e-mailing evaluations for you to complete online after the conference. But wait, there's more:
Extended exhibit hall hours
In addition to morning and afternoon refreshment breaks, and two evening receptions held in the exhibit hall, a boxed lunch in a reusable lunch box (sponsored by GE Healthcare) will be distributed on Tuesday in the exhibit hall. Spend a little more time shopping and learning about the latest industry products, services and resources.
Treasure hunt
The treasure hunt will take place in the exhibit hall. You will be given a number "coin" in your registration materials. A treasure map will be located in the conference guide. Travel the exhibit hall floor seeking your matching number from participating vendors who will have a treasure chest with a vendor "coin" inside. If you find your match you will be rewarded with found treasure from that exhibitor.
Audio recordings of sessions
Most sessions at the radiology summit will be recorded - as MP3 files. A couple of weeks after the conference, you will be able to visit the link on the web where you downloaded conference handouts and download all available recorded sessions for no extra charge! This is a private location only for seminar attendees. We urge you to keep this information confidential and use it only for your benefit. The contents posted on this web page are included in your seminar fees.
Continuing education credits
Most sessions at the radiology summit qualify for continuing education credits. If you are seeking continuing education credit, remember to sign in at the beginning of each session. The ASRT code will be verbally distributed at the end of the session. Since we are using less paper, the continuing education forms will be accessible online or on the conference cd you will receive. We will include a page in the conference guide so you can record the codes and take home to complete the forms.
And of course we still will be delivering quality education with more sessions to choose from than ever before.
