Medicity Care Collaboration Platform in Strong Demand from US Health Systems and HIEs

Company News - Medicity
Rapid growth in customers illustrates accelerating momentum for the leading healthcare clinical interoperability and care collaboration company Medicity, Inc. announced the continued expansion of its market footprint in Q1 2009, with now over 700 hospital-based, statewide, and regional health information exchanges (HIEs) as customers. The growth of its global HIE customer base reflects the strong market demand for scalable clinical interoperability solutions that maximize operational efficiencies while positively impacting patient care, safety and quality.

According to Kipp Lassetter, M.D., Medicity's CEO, "As hospitals and HIEs look for ways to maximize their investment in legacy systems, connect to physicians in the community and capitalize on the potential of the Economic Stimulus funding, they are turning to proven clinical interoperability solutions that can be quickly and cost-effectively deployed to reduce administrative costs, enhance patient care and deliver a robust return on investment. Medicity's solid number of client contracts in Q109 validates the unique strength of our solutions and confidence that our customers have in us. We anticipate continued growth throughout the year."
