Merge Healthcare at RSNA 2009 will be held in Chicago from November 29 - December 4.

Merge Healthcare, a leading health IT solutions provider, has prepared an educational line-up designed to give attendees access to the people and technologies that are moving imaging IT in new directions for its 20th year of exhibiting at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2009.

Merge will also hold a series of presentations at its booth, #5619, Hall A. Topics include patient engagement, mobile devices and imaging, the impact of reimbursement changes, image processing tools, and legacy PACS integration. Allscripts and InSite One will be joining Merge to discuss Electronic Health Records and Hospital Information Exchange integration. The American College of Radiology and other imaging policy leaders will be holding a panel discussion on stimulus legislation and its impact on radiology. Radiologists will provide clinical and business perspectives on CAD and web portal technologies. The World Health Imaging, Telemedicine and Informatics Alliance (WHITIA) will also be on hand to unveil their new concept for global access to x-ray. Many of the aforementioned sessions will be repeated in Chinese.

Also on display will be toolkits available for software development in both DICOM and HL7 standards, as well as advanced toolkits such as Cedara Image Enhancement, image stitching, and dose monitoring.
