Merge Healthcare (NASDAQ: MRGE), a global corporation dedicated to health IT interoperability solutions, announced that the company has started the year off with seven new contracts for its clinical trials solutions.

These wins reflect continued momentum across all the clinical trials applications, and represent both new and expanded customer relationships.

This month we took our first myEDC study live, and have already documented improvements in the quality and accessibility of data. myEDC allows us to quickly build the custom capabilities our Sponsors need and to provide a complete view of the information in real-time.”

In addition to the customizable myEDC platform, the Merge solution set for clinical trials includes applications for enterprise Electronic Data Capture (EDC), Interactive Voice and Web Response (IVR/IWR), electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePRO) via internet, phone or handheld device, and an endpoint adjudication module. The Merge CIMS platform for managing the imaging component of clinical trials was recently awarded Frost and Sullivan’s 2010 Healthcare Innovation for Medical Imaging Workflow Solutions of the Year. Merge capabilities extend across all stages of clinical trials, international studies, and many clinical specialty trials.
