Mirada Medical to Showcase New Software MR-PET Fusion at RSNA Annual Meeting
| Company News - Mirada Medical |
Mirada Medical will be launching its latest software fusion technologies, MR-PET Fusion, to support MR-PET and MR-CT-PET imaging at the RSNA 2010
Mirada Medical Limited, the fast growing international company focused on advanced oncology imaging, announced that it will be launching its latest software fusion technologies, MR-PET Fusion, to support MR-PET and MR-CT-PET imaging at the RSNA 2010 ( Radiological Society of North America ) trade show in Chicago, Illinois from November 28 - December 3, 2010.
The new fusion technologies allow image readers to rapidly switch between different MRI sequences whilst the MR is fused to the PET, apply both motion correction to the different MR protocols prior to registration with the PET, and tri-modality fusion imaging to allow the MR to be viewed with both CT and PET simultaneously. Additionally, readers will be able to quantify regions of interest in MRI and compare these with earlier or later acquisitions.
The new tools, when coupled with Mirada’s industry leading deformable registration technology and built-in support for standard and user-defined response assessment protocols such as RECIST, WHO and PERCIST, provide the user with exceptional power to review, compare and quantify a patient’s complete set of current and previous imaging studies.
Mirada Medical ’s technologies are developed by world renowned scientists and dedicated engineers and the Company is focused on providing users with oncology imaging solutions to enhance their workflow whilst optimising the most accurate and consistent reporting and quantitative knowledge share in the multi-modal diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Dr Timor Kadir, Chief Scientist of Mirada Medical, said: “We have developed the advanced imaging capabilities of our XD3 application to better enable the power and potential of MRI fusion. MR-PET Fusion makes full use of the reimbursed MR and the reimbursed CTPET as these are the acquisitions most commonly available to the clinical user today. Oursoftware also supports advanced imaging of MR and PET acquired using the emerging hybrid scanning techniques though we recognise that reimbursement is not yet available for such procedures.”
Mirada Medical will showcase its latest industry leading developments at RSNA 2010 in Booth 7520, Hall B, North Building of McCormick Place.
