MMR Information Systems Teams With AIU Holdings Accident and Health to Create First Global Personal Health Record for Expatriates
| Company News - MyMedicalRecords, Inc. |
Program Gives Company International Footprint
MMR Information Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: MMRF), which through its wholly-owned operating subsidiary, MyMedicalRecords, Inc. (collectively, "MMR"), provides consumer-controlled Personal Health Records ("PHRs") (www.mymedicalrecords.com) and electronic safe deposit box storage solutions (www.myesafedepositbox.com), announced that it will be launching a global Personal Health Record and Esafe Deposit Box for AIU Holdings' expatriate employees and policyholders of AIU Holdings' Accident and Health insurance policies. The product will be introduced at a meeting of AIU Holdings' 12 Worldwide Marketing Units in Malaysia on June 23, 2009.
The MyMedicalRecords multi-lingual PHR for the Expat marketplace is expected to be an integral part of the insurance company's offering for its expatriate U.S. clients, as well as for AIU Holdings' employees who work overseas while maintaining U.S. residency. It will be private labeled as part of AIU Holdings' new global branding strategy.
"This is a tremendously exciting opportunity for MMR Information Systems," said Robert H. Lorsch, MMR Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We are proud to be included as an integral part of a global insurance product offering featuring the first International Personal Health Record for the Expat market that can be used 24 hours a day, 365 days a year worldwide. With a MyMedicalRecords PHR combined with a MyEsafeDepositBox virtual vault, travelers and U.S. expatriates will be able to electronically paper-proof their life, providing convenience and added peace of mind from country to country."
The MyMedicalRecords PHR is a secure, easy-to-use Personal Health Record that enables individuals to store and manage their medical records and other important documents -- such as insurance policies, financial records and legal papers -- in one convenient location and access them anytime from anywhere using an Internet-connected device. Built on an integrated Internet/fax/voicemail platform, the system gives individuals and their healthcare providers the ability to easily transfer medical information -- including physician notes, lab reports and scanned images -- via fax or Internet to a secured personally-controlled online account. MMR's proprietary technology enables all of one's paper-based records to be faxed into his or her account using a dedicated "Lifeline" telephone number that is designed to provide users the ability to safely move their information anywhere in the world regardless of the technology on the other end.
In addition, every MyMedicalRecords PHR account features a separate Emergency Login that allows medical personnel to access potentially life-saving information such as blood type and allergies that is pre-selected by the user in the event of an emergency or disaster during which normal communication channels are unavailable. Each MyMedicalRecords PHR account also covers up to 10 family members and features unlimited fax and voice messaging capability, making MyMedicalRecords an international family command center.
