Mymedicalrecords Adds Enhanced Doctor-Patient Features to its Flagship PHR Platform

Company News - MyMedicalRecords, Inc.

MMR’s Expanded Connectivity to be Presented at HIMSS09

MMR Information Systems, Inc. which through its wholly-owned operating subsidiary, MyMedicalRecords, Inc. provides Web-based consumer-controlled Personal Health Records (“PHRs”) (www.mymedicalrecords.com) and electronic safe deposit box storage solutions (www.myesafedepositbox.com), announced the integration of its Fax-Receipt Option and Outbound Fax capability into its unified Internet, fax, and voice communications Personal Health Record platform in providing users increased flexibility and speed in sharing medical records with their doctors.

“The economic incentives to medical professionals enacted into law to accelerate the adoption of computerized medical records are a potential boon to the healthcare industry. However, the fact remains that there are billions of pieces of paper moving to and from patients and doctors throughout the world,” said Robert H. Lorsch, Chairman and CEO of MMR Information Systems, Inc. “MMR fully intends to be a major communications conduit between consumer Personal Health Records (PHRs) and Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) of any kind with a flexible plug and play platform that meets relevant standards and is designed to provide patients the ability to safely and securely control and move their information anywhere in the world regardless of the technology on the other end.”

“Over the next several years of the electronic health record revolution, our consumer-centric PHR is designed to enable individuals to store and retrieve their medical records and share them with all their doctors in whatever technology is relevant to that patient and doctor relationship starting now,” added Lorsch.

All MMR products, including its flagship MyMedicalRecords PHR, its Electronic Safe Deposit Box, and its professional service for doctors, MyMedicalRecords Pro, send alerts to the individual account-owner or medical professional when a record is received into the relevant account. Until now, a user needed to log-in to his or her MMR account to see a received record. Now, the user has the option of having a record attached to the e-mail alert, which speeds up access to information flowing into a user’s or doctor’s professional account. The outbound fax capability will give MMR patients or doctors the ability to go back to basics when necessary to deliver a document virtually anywhere in the world regardless of the level of technology on the other end. This makes MMR’s product perform as a total integrated doctor-patient communications service.

MMR’s products include a comprehensive PHR, an Electronic Safe Deposit Box www.myesafedepositbox.com for all important insurance and financial records and Emergency Preparedness documents, as well as the Cerner Multum Drug Content Database, licensed to MMR from Cerner Corp. (Nasdaq: CERN). MMR products give users the ability to receive, store and send voice, electronic and fax records to and from anyone to anywhere making MMR a potential life-saving tool with a comprehensive communications interface. MMR is also an integrated service provider on Google Health. This enables MMR users to link their MMR PHR to the features and benefits of Google Health.

“The integration of document storage, voice fax communications, secure virtual safe deposit box features and an Emergency Login makes MyMedicalRecords a valuable life tool for corporate executives, small businesses, and expatriates in addition to it being a suite of individual and professional PHR products,” Lorsch added.
