Neurognostics, a Milwaukee-based medical imaging company, is pleased to announce that William L Stafford has joined Neurognostics, Inc. as the President and CEO. "Neurognostics, a Milwaukee-based medical imaging company, is pleased to announce that William L Stafford has joined Neurognostics, Inc. as the President and CEO. Mr. Stafford brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in healthcare industry business development.

"We are extremely excited to have Mr. Stafford join Neurognostics as we continue to promote and develop our standardized functional MRI (fMRI) system" said Lane Brostrom, Neurognostics board member. "Bill's background and experience strongly compliments our existing team and we believe Neurognostics is well positioned to take advantage of fMRI's growing clinical and research applications."

Mr. Stafford was, most recently, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Stafford came to the MSO from Merge Technologies Inc., a PACS and technology company which he helped take public in 1998. Stafford started at Merge in 1993 as Director of Sales, Marketing and Service and left as Senior Vice President, OEM and International Operations. At Merge Technologies, Stafford was responsible for global OEM sales and drove revenue growth averaging 30 percent annually. Prior to his positions at Merge, he served in various sales, marketing, and administrative positions at Marquette Electronics and GE Medical Systems (both now parts of GE Healthcare).

Mr. Stafford received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Yale University and earned a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

"Clinical use of fMRI has touched just the surface of possible applications. I'm very excited about the opportunity to help bring this revolutionary technology more broadly to bear on patient care, including treatment validation, and to join with the Board as it strengthens the company by leading a new financing round" said Mr. Stafford."
