NightHawk Radiology Services Expands Its MET

Company News - NightHawk Radiology Services

NightHawk Radiology Services , the leading provider of radiology solutions to radiology groups and hospitals throughout the United States, named two new physician leaders to its MET

NightHawk Radiology Services  has named two new physician leaders to its Medical Executive Team (MET), an influential group of affiliated radiologists who provide valued medical insight to the company and its customers.

Joining the MET are Dr. Samir S. Shah, a board-certified diagnostic radiologist and fellowship trained interventional radiologist, and Dr. Lawrence Bub, a board-certified radiologist with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology. They join the existing physicians comprising NightHawk’s Medical Executive Team; Drs. Guy Ross, Brad Snyder, Bill Shea and Doug Rusnack. All members of the MET are part of the more than 135 affiliated radiologists contracted worldwide to provide professional services to NightHawk.

Dr. Shah has won multiple awards for his research in radiology, has authored numerous scientific articles within the radiology literature and is a reviewer for the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Shah serves on several national radiology committees, is a Councilor to the American College of Radiology and currently serves as the president-elect of the Pittsburgh Roentgen Society.

Dr. Bub, who has won regional and national awards for his research in cervical spine trauma and blunt cerebrovascular injury, previously served as director of CT Imaging at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colo. Since becoming a member of NightHawk Radiology, Dr. Bub has served on the company’s Peer Review Board and Internal Review Board.

As a physician-driven company, NightHawk encourages participation by its contracted radiologists in the development and implementation of new ideas and best practices. To high-light the importance placed on physician input, NightHawk also has a radiologist on its executive management team who serves as the company’s chief medical officer – Dr. Timothy Myers.

Members of the MET are assigned specific duties and roles and are involved with various aspects of NightHawk Radiology’s services including managing its Quality Assurance program, developing preliminary and final read protocols, coordinating continuing education and assisting with designing our best in class Image Management and Workflow Systems.

“The practice of radiology is ever-changing and our Medical Executive Team has ‘frontline’ insight which helps us stay at the forefront of industry issues and trends,” said Dr. Myers, NightHawk’s chief medical officer.

“The Medical Executive Team, together with our Chief Medical Officer, brings the voice of radiologists to the NightHawk management team,” said company President and CEO David Engert. “They provide professional insight and give us valued thought leadership, and we are pleased to see Dr. Bub and Dr. Shah join the MET.”
