Industry Resource Creates Collaborative Forum and Knowledge Center for Radiologists
NightHawk Radiology Services, the leading provider of radiology solutions to radiology groups across the United States, announced the unveiling of what is expected to become a powerful information resource for radiologists - the "BlackBook of Radiology."
NightHawk's latest innovation puts valuable information at radiologists' fingertips. In the ongoing quest to improve patient care and the practice of radiology, NightHawk 's radiologists and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Timothy Myers, are developing this reference base drawing in part upon the more than 3 million studies NightHawk reports each year. The BlackBook also enables other radiologists to share their knowledge and expertise through this collaborative forum. This interactive collection includes interesting cases, reference materials, whitepapers, articles, links, webinars, news and editorials.
All radiologists, fellows and residents are encouraged to submit their contributions to help expand the BlackBook into the industry's most comprehensive and indispensable resource. All submissions must be HIPAA-compliant, and will undergo peer review for accuracy and content.
"It is very gratifying as a radiologist to be able to share this kind of information with our peers," stated Myers. "When we come across an interesting case, informative article or research paper, the natural response is to share that information with others. In that way, we can continuously enhance the levels of care and service we provide."
Myers continued, "The BlackBook of Radiology is another expression of NightHawk's commitment to the radiology community. I believe that working together with other practicing radiologists, we can better the field of radiology and improve patient care."
NightHawk is committed to protecting the health information of patients; all postings to the BlackBook of Radiology will be HIPAA-compliant.
