Novarad Adds PACS Contract in North Carolina

Company News - Novarad Corporation

American Fork, Utah Jan. 26, 2009 - Ashe Memorial Hospital, Jefferson, N.C. has selected Novarad Corporation's NovaPACS technology for its Imaging Department. The rural, not-for-profit hospital located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina selected NovaPACS because it is a turnkey system and provides fast image loads and eased access to studies for convenient remote reading.

An additional factor in the hospital's selection was the real time off-site emergency backup of images and data that is included at no additional cost.

"We understand acquiring a quality, full-featured PACS at an affordable price remains challenging for rural hospitals, but we develop and offer complete PACS and RIS solutions at an approachable price point through our subscription pricing model," said Paul Shumway, Novarad Corporation vice president. "We are pleased to continue our long-standing tradition of serving hospitals in North Carolina and are pleased to add Ashe Memorial as our newest customer."

NovaPACS is Novarad Corporation's complete, enterprise-level PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer.
