Novarad Adds PACS Contract With Kansas Hospital
| Company News - Novarad Corporation |
Novarad announced its web-based NovaPACS selected by Kansas Hospital
Edwards County Hospital in Kinsley, Kans. selected Novarad's web-based PACS, NovaPACS, to ease access to images for interpreting physicians and help further enhance radiology services for the rural community the hospital serves.
This latest contract brings Novarad's NovaPACS and NovaRIS installations in Kansas to 30. Brown's Medical Imaging, a Novarad distributor serving Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa, facilitated the PACS contract. The hospital's leadership found NovaPACS to be the best fit for its hospital as it could be installed in fewer than four weeks and because hardware and software upgrades were included as part of the contract, helping to simplify budgeting.
"Rural facilities of all sizes continue to select our radiology technologies as we provide a wide range of options from ASP models to fully-featured systems, all at an affordable price point," said Paul Shumway, Novarad vice president. "Year after year we remain the most affordable PACS and have proven to deliver value to our customers, most achieve a return on their investment in less than one year."
NovaPACS is Novarad's complete, turnkey PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer. To complement NovaPACS, Novarad offers NovaRIS. Developed on the same platform as NovaPACS, NovaRIS generates reports, measures profitability and facilitates paperless management of patient records.
