Novarad Adds RIS/PACS Contract With Albuquerque Medical Center
| Company News - Novarad Corporation |
ABQ Health Partners selected Novarad's NovaPACS/NovaRIS
ABQ Health Partners, the largest independent medical group in New Mexico has selected Novarad's NovaPACS/NovaRIS radiology technologies.
The medical group selected Novarad because its NovaPACS/NovaRIS technologies were affordable and ABQ Health Partners could anticipate achieving a return on its investment in less than a year. Additionally, the seamless integration between the NovaPACS/NovaRIS and its ability to integrate with the medical groups EHR and other existing systems were also factors in the final decision.
Radiologists at ABQ Health Partners valued the mouse-driven viewer, customizable menus, saved preferences feature, advanced hanging protocols, measuring tools and web-based interface within NovaPACS. With NovaPACS they are able to read onsite or offsite to deliver even faster interpretations.
"Our systems are designed by radiologists to meet the reading needs of radiologists with an affordable pricing model to fit within the budgetary constraints of every facility," said Paul Shumway, vice president at Novarad. "It is rewarding to be selected by ABQ Health Partners and we look forward to working with them to help continue their tradition of delivering excellent healthcare and service to their community."
NovaPACS is Novarad's complete, turnkey PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer. To complement NovaPACS, Novarad offers NovaRIS. Developed on the same platform as NovaPACS, NovaRIS generates reports, measures profitability and facilitates paperless management of patient records. Novarad's NovaRIS receives the highest overall performance score in the RIS community hospital market segment of the 2009 KLAS "The Revival of RIS" report.
