Novarad Adds Two PACS Contracts in Sioux City

Company News - Novarad Corporation

The June E. Nylen Cancer Center and Siouxland Community Health Center, both located in Sioux City, Iowa are the latest facilities to select Novarad's NovaPACS for their radiology departments. These two contracts bring Novarad's PACS and RIS installations in Iowa to more than a dozen. Brown's Medical Imaging, a Novarad distributor, facilitated the June E. Nylen Cancer Center contract and Novarad South, another Novarad distributor, facilitated the contract with Siouxland Community Health Center. Decision makers at the facilities selected Novarad technologies because its systems were completely turnkey and all software and hardware upgrades are included as part of the contract with no additional fees. With the instability of economic environment, these savings helped significantly with budgeting now and budget forecasting years to come.

"We understand that more than ever before costs and cost savings are top of mind for many vendors," said Paul Shumway, Novarad vice president. "Our radiology systems were designed to be complete and robust at an affordable price point with added savings benefits including software and hardware refreshes and unlimited radiologist workstations. Additionally, most facilities achieve a ROI in only a year."

NovaPACS is Novarad's complete, turnkey PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer. To complement NovaPACS, Novarad offers NovaRIS. Developed on the same platform as NovaPACS, NovaRIS generates reports, measures profitability and facilitates paperless management of patient records.
